2.) Your ability keys should be bound to your QWER keys, respectively. I use the 123456 keys for item inventory slots.

6.)Learn what the basic items do. These are the essentials:
-Tango
-Healing Salve
-Clarity (Mana Potions)
-Magic Stick
-Magic Wand
-Courier
-Teleport Scrolls

8.) Don't charge at enemies at the start of games. Kills aren't the point (though they are important). Get the last hit on enemy creep and try to out-farm your opponent.

10.) Positioning is everything. Try not to take "stupid" damage from enemy creep.

12.) Play co-op matches to get familiar with the map and key areas like:
-Roshan
-Lane shops
-Secret shops
-Warding spots (a bit advanced, you can prioritize this later on)
-Rune spots
